Hi people
Posted once before when considering a Cupra, didn't take the plunge in the end and stuck with my CW Type R.... anyway now I'm thinking of getting a Diesel for power throughout the range and importantly economy, but still want something fast so the Leon tdi is definitely on the radar.
Probably between a BMW 120d/123d but think they could be a bit too small for me, a golf TDI 170 but they seem very expensive, and the Leon, which I could pick up a newish one for 16k.
I'd want to get it mapped (up to 210 bhp) and wondered what it turns the car into, how much it costs etc? Stats wise what does the 0-60 change to, I know this may not be a good benchmark but for me being an engine noob its all I relate to. Will the mpg worsen or can the map improve that too? After the remap it should have more bhp than the type r and a load more torque so should be faster yes?
I did read something after doing a search someone was mentioning they can be a bit heavy throwing round corners, any extra info gladly appreciated. Are they comfortable in the back for 3? or 1 with 2 child seats?
Regards
Jonny
