Third Party Maps on Apple CarPlay

I noticed this morning that Waze is now working on CarPlay. Problem is it looks identical to Google Maps with different colours, the road speed limit is hidden behind the next turn ‘block’ in the upper right corner and I can’t figure a way of repositioning it.

I noticed this morning that Waze is now working on CarPlay. Problem is it looks identical to Google Maps with different colours, the road speed limit is hidden behind the next turn ‘block’ in the upper right corner and I can’t figure a way of repositioning it.

It looks similar to Google and Apple maps because the visual style is mandated by Apple. But functionally it adds incident reporting and speed limit display (it being hidden is a RHD bug that I’m sure will be fixed soon). I notice the map is centred rather than being offset to the left which looks poor and puts the car icon right up against the navigation blocks. Again sure that will be fixed soon.
For now it is my go to choice.
