I looked at the start but am not keen on the seatbelt for him yet as I feel he is too small.
Be careful with the maxi cosi. We have one and the harness turns green when it's tight enough but when my lillun moves it loosens so it's not green over the space of about 5 mins. The polystyrene also keeps falling out and the cover is a pain in the ass for falling down from the top.

i have a silver cross seat now, no isofix etc... going to buy a cg lock to secure in nicely.. ive heard the leon belts are a tight fit with baby seats, im sure lee69 maybe extended his belt or something.

cg lock will keep the seat in tight if it fits it.

No fits fine on forward/rearward facing seats mate, was my last car i had to extend the rear belt.

I had big issues with our rear facing seat and the rear belts. they just weren't long enough to go around the back mof the kids seat. You can just manage this by pulling it rearward until the belt is slipped over but its JUST long enough

I had the CG lock fitted to the front of my LCR for the wee mans seat with no issues

We have a Recaro young expert plus, about £140 the isofix base is£65 ish at halfords
The base also has an arm that extends to the floor to stop seat tipping over.
Top quality seat up to about 3 to 4 years but it's weight not age that counts.
Apparently has one of the best side impact protection systems and these are the most common type of collision.
Only thing front seat needs to be moved forward some to stop kids feet on the back of seat,
no six foot leggy blondes getting in.!! no, really not too bad my wife has long legs and she's fine.
If anyone knows how to make a car seat, Recaro must, good track record literally.
Also great street cred!! lol.

Keeping an eye on this thread, got 6 months to go and will need to sort all of this out in the nxt few months for my lovely LCR! I don't want baby sick and crap all over it! Plus I have a big black labrador for the boot so space is going to be WELL tight!
