Ive got a 1.6 16v leon which decided to cut out the other day... RAC did a error code bringing this

P2101 Throttle Actuator Control Motor Circuit Range/Performance

also
P2101 P ??

Leads me to the throttlebody.... got a replacement fitted still the same... Could it be a faulty throttle Body? Any way to test em?

Whats my next point of call??

Pedal sender? ECU?

Thanks for reading

Dan

Yes cleared the codes... and disconected the battery.

I can start the car by force opening the flap and it runs very rough press the pedal and nothing... turn it off force restart the car pedal works and open the throttle then wont?

i even disconected the throttlebody with the engine running and no change o the engine!???

Did you fix this?

Did you ever get to the bottom of this, I am having a similar problem with my Seat Ibiza MK3 1.4 16v? Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks

Yes mate!

EGR valve died again in the end, they tend to burn out very quickly on the 1.6 16v engines no real way of testing it either just replace and that may be the problem.

Causes the throttle to go wappy with recirc gases!
