tickover on leon fr's cupra diesels

i was just wondering if my leon is ticking over a bit fast..900rpm...ive never owned a diesel before but im sure my dads old gt tdi golf idled at about 800 rpm...
is this normal for a faster tickover..if not im seeing the dealer this weekend about some stone chips their fixing and il get him to sort it..if its a problem that is

seems Ok to me. Mine is about 900rpm.

cheers son, just seems odd when sat in traffic for hours that it doesnt slow down a bit! but hey must be normal on these pd engines

I think there might've been an issue with tickover and vibration which was cured with an ecu update to increase the idle speed. So I don't think it's much of a problem, probably how it's supposed to be.

Mine was as lumpy as hell at 900 so i've raised it to 950 which stopped all the interior rattles and also the clutch chatter at tickover.

now all i need to do is get rid of that damm pencil that rolled along the dash into the gap between the window and dash!

Wrap some gaffer tape around a thin bit of dowelling - but wrap it around sticky side out and it should pick it up ... that's what i use to get stuff like that out.

haha cheers fester...i did spend 2 hours at work today fashoning a trap like contraption out of some paper clips and sticky tape....but i think your plan is better

I think on vagcom it reads 903 on tick over
