Hi Fl@pper. its a 2003 mk4 1.2 ibiza. I have heard the timing chains were dodgy on these models. Thats fixed now but I hate having no sounds.

the radio code info is available at the dealers if they get given the right info

chassis number / reg no / radio serial number etc

some dealers charge some don't - if yours does id either try somewhere else or politely ask as it was in for a very expensive repair at the time the battery was disconnected could they possibly extend to finding the code as a gesture of customer service ? ;)

you never know unless you ask - but first you need to realise who is best to ask ;)

best bet is to try the most helpful one or even the one that remembers you being there

try to trace the car back to the dealer that originally supplied thge car.
i did this and they gave me the code via the phone.
if not report to seat uk. if seat repaired the timing belt, they would have disconnected the battery which results in the car needing a code reset.
when they do this make note of the code and write it down.

i hope this helps
