I was told that i don't want to see more than 5 in block 020,i logged 7.5 on cylinder 4 which always seems to be more than the others.cylinder 3 seems lowest(maximum 3). 1 and 2 max was 6.This was logged in 5th gear if that makes any difference.I've been using some octane booster and wondered if this makes any difference?

adjustable timing is ace if you have it - but in Jan you really don't want to see much / any correction since when it's the summer it'll pink like a bitch. (something I've heard on more than a couple of cars that have passed thru ryan's mapper?

OK... what are you inlet temps like?
Either way - if nothing is 'wrong' then you really shouldn't expect this from a map that must work all year round.
can you cut & paste the logs in? be interesting to see how long it goes on for over the rpm range.

cylinder 4 is usually higher might be less air getting to it, bill has a manifold on his motor that i think was designed to do it equally...iirc (could be wrong)
log of inlet temps with n75 duty,as you can see pretty good.I think it might be the water injection either not working or the service dummy topping it up with screen wash!Emptied and refilled now.Will do some more logging.

I logged a stock LCR last night that was running 95 rather than optimax & that was pulling some serious timing correction in a similar pattern to Steve's - even with inlet temps @ 12C
Ryan - your inlet's look low, so if your water injection was just water - I can't see that would increase the octane rating. I don't think you need it at the moment...
Could it be you think you're buying something with higher octane?
Also - Steve's air flow logs look a bit low, 137g/s is about 20g/s than the 'best' ibiza's - but then the boost is lower too.

pinking is no good no matter what cylinder it's on Phil, I'd turn it down if that's what you're seeing
No, nowhere near as high as that - only ever seen 7 deg when I had it turned up to "11" (as in Spinal Tap).
Just wondered if all that pull on one cylinder is to do with too much timing or someothing else - bad spark for example?
Interestingly, on mine and other LCR's I've seen, you can have no timing pull what-so-ever at 3000-5500 (guessing) then all of a sudden you start getting loads (6-7 deg) above that. Is that "normal"?

Phil, the reason it's higher on the 4th cylinder is because it never gets as much air as the other 3...
