Not happy with the way the orange shows through on the standard rear lights and being a massive hater of Lexus style I've been thinking of tinting them red.

What do you think, anyone done this before??

Not really just used a solidering iron and melted the lense into 4 then pull them out with long nose pliers. Just becareful not to go to far through as you will hit the main lense itself. Easier than my clears as you only have to do 1 not 3!

Mine are Lexus lights sprayed red, red laquer, as I wanted something different as I didn't like any of the aftemarket ones available. I like them anyway. :)

Taking the orange part of the clusters out definitely helps on the standard lights.

Think I'll do that then, cheers for the advice. Might have a crack at it 2nite if I get chance. I guess I'll need some flash orange indicator bulbs though

use red MOTIP tinting lights spay. It is very good.

remember that you should keep the spray in the distance of 20-25 cm from the light, keep the light on some flat surface for example table and spray it over the light in the air not direct to the light surface !!!

I did in my life over 50 diffrent lamps and 45 I did perfect.

use PHILIPS SILVER VISION bulbs, they are silver. looks much better.

i hated the orange bit in the rear lights too.

i took the cheaper alternative though and removed the orange lens from inside the light with a soldering iron.

then i put in silver bulbs that flash orange and roberts your mothers brother... no more silly orange bit in your rear lights :D

only took about half an hour to do!

Didn't get chance this weekend so will have a crack (excuse the pun) in a few weeks. I'll get some rear silvatec bulbs ordered. Already have silver/blue standard front indicators as it's a Cupra-R.
