To cut of not to cut!!?

I have a pad that looks as if it used to hold the tax disk to the window, it has a wire attached to it that goes into the pillar. i really want to get rid of it as it looks tatty and i dont use it, can i just cut it?

is this electrical wire? ive seen some alarms have this type of thing.

if its to stop somone nicking the tax disk you should be able to claim it back anyway?

you will find a wire to your battery pfobably, find what it goes to mate, i would and get rid of the whole loom, you may find if you cut it it may drain the battery of trigger your alarm.

ye it looks like an electrical wire, didnt see if it went to my battery or not.

It will be a "Tax disc aerial" for a mobile phone car kit that will have been fitted.

I looked at getting one when I got my car kit but I opted for the standard T-bar one instead.

ye i was gonna say it's a hands free kit aerial, don't cut unless ya not got it anymore

just tuck it into the a pilar, pulls off, put the wire behind it and put it back on.

It was there when i bought the car so i am really not sure, i am going to take my pillar off and just put it behind there i think, but cheers for all the help buys.

update: I took off my pillar and after looking for ages to see where the wire went, i just put it into the space btween the pillar and dash out of sight so i am happy. Cheers for the help guys.

Its definitely a phone aerial. My Dads Volvo had one fitted.
