Hi just a very quick question, i have ordered some coilovers and want to know if £65 sounds right for 4 top mounts? I have got this price from a dealer.

Could anyone tell me if this is accurate.

Thanks

Oh i guess i will check with them but if they dont include the nuts could i still use the old ones? Sorry im just not very clued up on these small but important parts.

Just spoke to Dave at Sere motors from the dealers section on the home page. I must say what a lovely guy, he has given me all the part numbers for the mounts, bearings and nuts. If only they had these in stock i would definately advise speaking to him if you need any parts for your Seat.

Cheers Dave top man.

What coilovers did you order?
If these have rebound/bump adjustments then there might not be a 7mm allen key recess and you might have to use the supplied bolt with these.
But new bolts are not expensive and better to have as spares than not have and need them

Hi thought id write the part numbers here in case people want to order some in the future.

FRONT TOP MOUNT - 1ML412331
FRONT BEARINGS - 1J0412249
NUTS - N90353603

Dont know what to do now coz no ones got any in stock and i really wanted to fit the coilovers this weekend. Dont powerflex or superpro do these?

What about the rears?
I'd fit the coilovers with the old top mount bushes and bearing and hope you don't break the bearings on the way out.
Just replace these when you get the new ones. Not too bad a job to do, worst bit is removing and refitting the strutts/coilovers

I have heard the rears normally last longer because they dont deal with as much strain as the fronts. The fronts are what most people order obviously i would prefer to change all 4 sides but if i cant get hold of the fronts whats the point doing the rears.?

There is plenty of mounts for the standard Seat but these are softer i believe so no real point getting those i guess?

DPJ i have now ordered the front mounts you have along with the bearings. I believe the Cupra one are in stock and they are cheaper than the Cupra R ones. I know they may not be as stiff as the Cupra R ones but at least they will be better than leaving the old ones i have on at present.

A big thank you to DAVE at SERE MoTORS.

Sorry Willie missed your post, I didnt order anything special just Jamex ones coz my funds are low and i dont really want to spend too much on Mods. I may in the future upgrade these but we will just have to see how these feel.
