Top Mount Removal

Right, I'm in need of help as I'm at my wits end with this stupid car.

I'm trying to change the suspension on my Ibiza, and I've managed to remove the RHS strut and spring assembly, but the top mount is stuck. I removed one bolt, but the other two just turn without coming out. I've tried griping them from underneath with mole grips, but they just come off. I've tried drilling the top off, but I only get about .5mm in, and I've tried smacking the **** out of it with a hammer, no joy.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how I could get them out? I don't have a welder nor an angle grinder and a hacksaw can't reach the bolts.

Go buy an angle grinder - 30 seconds work

^^as above..get yourself a 4.5inch angel grinder..will zip through those bolts quickly

Trouble is I can't see me using it again so one 1 mins work it's not really worth it :/

I'm surprised it's stuck mine came out well easy on my 52 plate

I had a couple of stuck ones first time I did mysuspension. I hit them with the grinder.

As for not needing a grinder again - how do you trim your toenails?

Same here. I had one that I had to drill out and it drilled out no problem at all.
It looks like you have used a too small a drill bit. You need one about the same size as the thread or just slightly smaller then hitting it with a hammer should knock the shaft out.
