Im about to change my spark plugs to Denso iridium IK22. Had a friend who plulled a little to hard on his so I was woundering how much torque (in NM please) I should be using when mounting???

Hand tight plus quarter of a turn has always been the loose rule for spark plugs.
In the absence of an exact figure, don't tighten them more than 19 lb/ft. (26 NM)

VW recommend 30 NM on ELSA for the 1.8t engines, and is what I tightened mine to yesterday when I changed mine
