Hey all i have a Leon FR 184 Cuna and i am chasing oil use of 1L in 1300 miles, among other things i am about to replace the pcv valve and need to take a couple of injectors out,can anyone confirm that the torque for the replacement injector clamp bolt is 8nm plus 270 deg?........8 nm doesnt seem like a lot!
TIA............

Latest results,
I have done 1488 miles since the change to RP - and i'm currently around 66% on my dipstick - which is 0.23L/1000 miles vs around 0.28 for long term average (18% improvement), and around 1L per 4350 miles, vs 1L per 3500 long term ave.
I think a good improvement in a short distance. I will do an oil change around 4-5k miles and continue to monitor.
I've bought the RP but recently done an oil and filter change so it won't get done for a few more months. From what I read, it suggeted an oil and filter change after about 4000 miles to get the sludge and crud out and then rinse and repeat. How many miles do you plan to do before a change?

Ok, slight update, changed the pcv valve(was shot at), did the piston soak, had a slight delay putting it back together (don't ask!), small gentle run @ 20 miles with around 500ml of Berrymans still in the oil today and then dropped the oil, gonna refill with cheap oil today, do 1000 miles and see if there is any improvement in the oil consumption... I'm not willing to put in the expensive Valvoline RP unless I think I can do something about the oil use without resorting to engine rebuild /piston ring replacement because that's not an option.... I'll keep you posted! BTW SuperV8 that really does sound promising!
