towing with a mk1 1.6 leon

hi, had a brief look through and can only find cupra towing info.... anybody towed with a 1.6 mk1 leon? I have a lightweight (800kg) caravan. The book says it can do it in theory, but just wandered if you had any comments?

i towed my ~500kg trailer with my 1.4 mk1 leon before I got the cupra r. It wasn't too bad, just don't expect to go anywhere quickly!!

i did get through a clutch after 55k, but that might well have been related to driving like a d1ck..
