Towing with the DSG box

What's the 2.0tdi sport dsg like towing? We used to caravan some years ago and are thinking of doing so again. Any particular quirks - and do you need additional oil cooling?

Not tried it myself, but I seem to recall that it was one of Whatcar's favourite tow cars.

The DSG isn't a traditional auto box with a torque convertor, its actually a manual box that changes gear automatically. Therefore, its perfect for towing, with super smooth changes under load, manual over-ride when required and non of the usual problems such as overheating gearbox oil on steep mountain climbs, poor fuel economy and reduction in power which are all associated with old fashioned auto/tiptronic boxes.
