track day advice needed

afternoon poeple just want some advice on a track day, really want to see how my car acts around a circuit. only trouble being my local track, thruxton do a sort of run what you brung open pit track day.

but has such resrictions as no leaving number 11s all over the track and a noise restriction standard exhausts 90 des.

just want to get a feel if i want to track my car up really. dont want to get rollcage and all that if i dont have fun.

any advice would be great.

I'd have a look at going slightly further afield & doing one of the MSV taster days.

Cheap way to see if you like it - Brands isn't too bad a drive, but Bedford is a nice circuit with more run off than anywhere.

Thruxton is very very fast - not really ideal for your first trip out IMO

Thanks for the advice mark. As I haven't been out yet a slower track is a safe option. I'll have a read.

sounds good, think i be doinn this, hope my ibiza qualifes to run....
taster to see what my capabilities are, if i dont crash into the pits. lol
