It's not bad... definently fun for what it is

My OMP subframes arrived so was able to get the Corbeau seats fitted
What a nightmare I had fitting them though. They subframes are bloody terrible, they don't even line up with the runners on the floor and don't come with the right kit to make fit. Had to modify the crap out of them, chopping areas and drilling new holes etc. Finally got them sitting the way I wanted them too
The Recaros before I packaged them up to be sent away to the new owner...
Weighed the seats to find out the difference between the two. This is including the subframes and sidemounts...
Recaro - 19kg each
Corbeau - 11kg each
So saved 16kg with the new ones. Happy days
Went to the first show of the year with the Ibiza. And somebody took a nice snap of it...
Back to the track days and it was a wet one this time aaaaand in reverse...
Played about with the setup for this one by loosening the rear ARB... Made a good difference, not as snappy and I could predict/feel when the back end was stepping out and was able to correct it more easily
Was able to bag myself a mini feature with Fueltopia, so was happy with that...

Not posted in a while, so here's a small brief update...
Done more track days throughout the year so here's a selection of some photos.

Finally found more Team Dynamics, so now have a set of 6
So wrapped them in some Yokohama Advan A08R's...
Got a little sensible in my old age and bought a second car...

It's been well looked after with a good spec list. Love it. Such a good comfy car!
Had my last track day of the year at the start of this month.
Was a very wet day but I was pushing on...
Then it didn't exactly go to well....
Came of the track and burst my radiator so couldn't continue
Was gutted that my GoPro wasn't on at the time as it would have been epic footage.
Luckily there was a photographer near by to capture it all lol...
So now the car is sitting in my drive looking sorry for itself covered in mud,grass and gravel everywhere haha. So will sort all that and start my winter prep for next years track days. Got a few plans up my sleeve

I used to run fully stiff for the roads and tried it on the track but was far to twitchy. So now I run the middle setting and that works best IMO on the track for dry conditions as you can feel the back and know where it's going which equals a lot more controllable rather than it being snappy on the top setting. Lowest setting for if it's slightly damp and if it's really wet then I'm going to start disconnecting it altogether

I havent done anyhting to the Ibiza since my last track session... except trying to get rid of all the gravel haha...
Although I have bought a few things for the Golf since the Ibiza has been neglected and pushed to the corner of the drive...
GTI Front Brake Upgrade, Service Kit, EGR Delete Kit, EGR Cooler Delete, Neuspeed Induction Kit and some new plates
Took the platte off the front for the cleaner/US look and fitted the new plate to the back...
Going to start buying parts for the Ibiza for its upgrades over the winter months
I havent done anyhting to the Ibiza since my last track session... except trying to get rid of all the gravel haha

Decided to get cracking over the festive holidays and bare the cold weather to lose more unnecessary weight from the car...
Starting with ripping out the headlining and remaining plastic trims
Then it was too take out the dash, for all the stuff behind it.
Never will I again try and take it out the dash whilst the cage is still in lol... What a nightmare I had trying to squeeze it round that
Passenger airbag, heater matrix and more sound deadening removed...
All sound deadening gone...
Opened up the heater matrix to take out the rest of my AC...
Trimmed some areas off the dash
Blocked off the centre flow for the heater vents
Still got some more things to do to the dash but having to wait on things arriving.
The weight lost from all that is...
- Sound deadening behind dash - 3.8kg
- Airbag/Bracket/Module - 4.7kg
- AC in heater matrix - 2.1kg
- Headlining/Trims - 4.2kg
Stripped my spare gear selector box for paint, before I top mount it inside the car...
Finished
Then washed the two cars for the last time in 2015

Will give a quick run down of the things that went on from my last update too now...
Top mounted the shifter into the car..
Put everything back together inside and cut up/made a carbon fibre cover for the glovebox hole...
Took the doorcards off and cleaned up the inside of the doors, removed the sound deadening, unnecessary wires, speakers handles etc.
I'll get some carbon sheeting and cover it, but this shall do for the time being...

Fitted a Forge baffled sump and put the car back together ready for it's MOT...
It passed
Then I checked all fluids, re-coat of underseal in the arches and just general tidying up...
All set and ready for it's first track night of 2016 this Saturday
