Traction control on or off??

This may seem like a silly question but on a mark 3 cupra is the traction control on or off when the traction control light where the dials are is on??

press button = light on and traction = off



if light off normally you will also see the light flash/appear when traction contol is operating as a warning

As other have said, everytime you turn the car on the TCS will always be on, it only turns off when you push the button. Give it the beans and you'll see it working. I think its a really poo and basic TCS system, cuts the power so abruptly making the car lurch forwards, i always drive with it off ;)

Is there any easy way to change the default setting so it's OFF when you start the car up? Not permanently disable it, just swap the default setting?

I never drive with it on, makes the car too unpredictable when it does decide to kick in and noticeably restricts the power

i agree tcs is really crap. when it kicks in i feel like the car behind must think i must be running car on kangaroo juice with the amount of lurchin it does. so i drive with it off too
