Trip Computer not working?

Hi guys.

Just picked up a MK3 Cupra (again), and noticed that the trip computer doesnt work.

Did all the Cupras have this?

The stalk has the reset button and the switch etc but the display just stays on the temperature.

Any ideas?

I think philw has the same problem, think he said it maybe something todo with the silver box, behind the radio facia, being different.

His radio version was differenet to mine when we checked vagcom, never got round to putting my box in his.

yep agreed, it will be the wrong radio fitted, had this when a dealer replaced my dodgy tape deck, they had to get the right unit back in.

I mentioned the wrong Radio thing to the dealer and the guy said thats not the case. But he couldnt give me any answer neither.

Its booked in thursday so hopefully will get it sorted.

thats amazing they know its not the case when they dont even know what radio code you have in yours. tsk.

Let me know the outcome of this.

Mine hasnt worked from day one. I;m convinced it was replaced before i owned it and they put the wrong one in.
