Tuning advice please...

I currently have a totally standard LCR but I want to start to upgrade it but I don't know where to start. Can you give me some advice please...?!

I'm more into changing the bits under the bonnet rather than its aesthetic appearance. I've been looking at what you have all done to your cars but I'm going to do it over a period of time and my budget isn't exhaustive...

Cheers!!!
;)

Full set or forge hoses. Dynatwist induction kit and BF TB exhaust system

Also when getting forge hoses get the cold side reserc kit. Also a Splitter or a 007 valve.

Thats a start and alot of $$ :)

Get a good Remap. Don't bother with hoses / exhaust and all that pointless stuff

Until after you have the re-map and the damn chargepipe hose blows off time and time again.....
As for the exhaust..ahem..what...that was one of the best mods on mine, free'd up a huge amount of power as stock, one of the 1st mods i would do tbh.

Forge shortshifter!
Forge DV if your standard Bosch fails.
Then a remap.

Uprated Dogbone engine mounts are good, but there will be some vibration.

Honda Civic aerial.

Fabia viper.

Then enjoy your car...

Sort out the handling first, good set of ARB's and Strut brace will sort that out,
then look at power, just my advice, pitty i can't listen to myself!

Thinking about it. Your right. I did it this way. I got a full set of coilovers first off. Standard handeling is not very good. Also looked lush slammed. If you dont want coilis as BMS said, front ARB will sort you out.

Get a good Remap. Don't bother with hoses / exhaust and all that pointless stuff
Your just an Plonker.

Dont know why so many people are "REMAP REMAP" Your not an enthusiat if this is all you think about. All you want is a fast car so you can show off.
:ban:

At the end of the day its your car. I dont think a remap right now is a good idea. Get used to drivin the car know how it works and how it performs when you push it. other wise you will just crash you shiny new car.

I was amazed how much the coilover changed the hadeling of the car. Money well spent. I think the LCR inspires to much confidence as standerd and can be dangerous.

I just had Neuspeed ARB's fitted and KW coilovers as well to my LCR, and it does help get the power down a bit better, nowhere near as much nose lift under load, and most noticable coming out of bends and especially roundabouts, have to be careful not to close the gap a bit fast in roundabouts with the car in front as there scrabbling for grip on exit ;) speaking from experiance!! Expensive mods thou, but you need to realise it is not all about straight line speed...you will do just as many cars with good suspension set up as you would with a remap etc...just my view of course, oh and the Leon looks awesome slammed too :)

You got a new Dog Bone mount? Best mod you can do to help get the power down.. and only £20 :D

Oh yes!! But lots of vibration for 100 miles or so. It is as everyone say, a REALLY good mod for the money. My traction control was forever coming on before but i rarely see that flashing light on the dash now. Get it done mate!
