Turbo back Exhaust for MK4 Ibiza PD130

Hi there.

What are peoples views of Turbo back exhaust? (no back box, no cat, no mid box etx)

Im looking at getting a full custom AAS system when i come home from my holiday and im wondering if there is much difference? More power? Less lag?

i have full turbo back milltek system....

did initially just have cat-back but made minimal difference...bit more noise above 2500rpm...but now with downpipe and decat (full turbo-back) its a lot noisier..not in a chavvy cherry bomb sound but gives a lovely turbo whistle all the time and expecially when coming of the throttle!...

and also bit more boost...was running about 23 psi (stage 1 remap) but now seems to be bit over 24 psi...as less restrictive so presume less lag as well...

second that. i had full straight through was great. then got a disgruntled mot man who failed me on having no rear silencer! i got a sports box put on so it wud be less restrictive but ive still lost about 1psi when boosting and a little lag when jumping on the throttle.

TBH I've got a mk4 Ibiza FR TDi and just got my local exhaust centre to cut away the downpipe cat and weld on a straight through section. Cost £40 all-in and I've noticed a huge difference in spool-up time. There's virtually no lag at all and the sound is very distinctive with the turbowhistle. I've got a Cupra intake and pipercross panel filter, and a Celtic tuning remap. The decat is well worth doing. I wanted the system to look as oem as possible, so never even contemplated going down the miltek route .

milltek provides a bigger downpipe....as well!

if you get the dual exhaust tip it will look pretty OEM...i went for the oval/cupra tip doesnt look out of place at all
