I have started hearing a vibration sound whenever my turbo kicks in. It is a tinny sound like a hole in the exhaust. It doesn't sound like manifold bolts in the turbo but i can't be sure. Anyone have any ideas?

the manifold bolts do sound like that, they can go from head to manifold or manifold to turbo i take it there is no real loss of power either. not sure what else it could be tbh tho
No loss of power at all. Ill need to take to dealer anyway to get sorted under warranty. If it is bolts then surely that cant be good for the turbo...
happened to me got gradually worse!
Pretty certain it will be the bolts, oh and dont accelerate hard coz u mind to some damage

Driving in to work this morning the noise has gone. Thinking about it on Friday i had the noise and then it went, it returned yesterday and now is gone today. Could that still be the bolts?
I took my car to seat dealer who drove it to try and hear the rattling for themselves. Sods law it didn't happen when they drove it but they suspect it is a chatting sound that the forge 007p recirc valve makes when regulating boost. They said that these valves are quiet at first but then start making the noise i am describing. They couldn't answer me when i said it was intermittent. They also said that in order to carry out any checks under warranty they would have to replace the forge valve with my old standard one,which i haven't got anymore. So dead end there then.
On the way home the rattling started up again....

Never heard of the forge DV making a noise when under pressure unless you reverse it, then it "chirps" not rattles.
Have you got a strut brace?
Mine kept hitting the strut brace so in the end put pipe lagging around the brace, but after reversing my DV (then hated the sound) turnd it back, and i've managed to twist one of the pipes so now just sits there, without hitting the strut brace.
Either buy one from the steelers, or someone must have their old one.

Im certain its the problem thats been mentioned everything ur explaining sound like what happened to me. it gradually got worse over a months period! but by the time i was due to get the bolts replaced it sounded awefull.
Mention it to ur local seat dealer that you'd like ur manifold bolts checked cause it seems to have happened to 3 people on here!

I just bought and installed my strut brace yesterday, (i thought i might as well whilst i was at Seat), so I know its not that.
I said to Seat that i think it may be manifold bolts but they dismissed the idea saying if it was a common problem they would got to hear about it and until i get the bosch valve they cant look at it. I am taking my car to Vagtech to have them look at it, they also changed my recirc valve so i will see if i can get my original one back.

It can also be the turbo pipes being loose and vibrating against something. Difficult to spot and bloody frustrating but did make my derv sound like a Chevvy V8

CHeck your boost pipes are all on tight, sound like a similar thing I had on my old Rover Vitesse turbo. that turned out to be a dodgy boost pipe. Loosing any power at the top end?

Good news and bad news. Good news is i managed to get my car booked in for july 17th into milton keynes dealership who will repair my car under warranty. Bad news is the rattling has got louder this evening and not just when turbo kicks in, now its whenever i accelerate.
I cant book in any sooner with MK dealers and definitely feel i cant drive with the noise as it sounds like im going to break something if i haven't already done so.
