Which turbo can i put on my TDI 110, will the one from a 150 or 130 fit, and they the same or different. Thanks lol

I am not very knowledgeable about modifying the older TDI engines but the PD150 turbo is a Garret and the PD130 is a KKK. Both use the same manifold but the Garret is capable of more power. Best phone Allard's http://www.allardmotorcompany.com/pages/products/products-cat6.asp?cat=6 or Central VW Audi and ask for Simon Cooper http://www.centralvwaudi.com/Forsale.htm

brilliant thanks for that, only other thing is i dont suppose you know if that manifold is the same as the one on the 110 non-pds?

I'm hoping to get a used turbo and rebuild it if necessary, allards turbos are all given mystery names unfortunately lol. Might give them a call tomorow and see if they can clear things up a bit.

Unless you want stupid bhp you don`t need an Allard hybrid turbo. If you click on the Central VW link Simon sales a standard VNT 17 turbo which would be the PD150 Garret GT1749V. Cannot help you about the manifold mate sorry but you need to make sure the oil feed lines etc fit as well as the manifold. I know very little about the TDI110 engine and layout but i am sure Allard`s or Simon at Central VW can tell you everything you need to know.:)

the vnt 17a, 130 turbo is a direct replacement for the vnt15 110 turbo. the vnt 17b, 150 turbo can be put on as well, only you need to buy other parts that allow it to be bolted to the manifold and exhaust.

So one from a 130 should go straight on with no problems?

Yep - The 110 benefits from VNT plumbing already being in there, so pd130 and 150 turbos (and I guess 160 from the cupra?) all will fit straight on, including their stock manifolds.

Other good upgrades are the pd130/150 inlet manifold, and an uprated downpipe too.

just spoke to Simon Cooper and all i will say is spot on, had a good old natter and he helped me out massivly

Do you know if they'd fit onto my stock manifold, or if i would need one off a 130/50. I know their manifolds would fit as the heads the same tho, but just trying to save a bit of cash lol

Wonder how much the upgrade would cost? Would it not be better just to purchase a 150 pd car instead as you will have to get the car mapped to the turbo...furthermore injectors will need to be changed as well, all at additional cost.
