Hi everyone,

My mate has VAG-COM and I want to use it to disable the automatic central locking on my 1.2 Ibiza Mk 4 which annoyingly comes on after I reach 10mph. Can anyone give me an idiot-proof guide? I've not used VAG-COM before, you see...

Very grateful for any help.

Anyone? Or, failing that, can anyone point me to some sort of guide? I've seen a good one for the VW Golf, but nothing for Ibiza.

This would really help me, as my passenger door is messed up and won't open from the inside after the speed-related locking has kicked in... Hence I have to chivalrously get out and open the door for my passenger, male or female! Would be great to just be able to turn off the locking feature to avoid paying for the door to be repaired.

I believe its located in 46? central convenience module. Need to have it in front of me, to be able to talk you through it

it's exactly the same procedure as the golf :)

That's awesome. I half thought it might be, but had images of trapping myself in my car or something through ignorance. Cheers for that!

No worries mate. Apparently it's the same as for the Golf, which is 46-Central convenience, then uncheck byte 0 bit 4. I'll try it tomorrow.

It is 46, pretty much the same across all VAG mk4 era cars (i.e Golf 4, Ibiza / Leon, Audi A3 / A4, Passat B5) :)
