I had the Engine Management light come on. Took the car to Seat Main dealer who replaced the Coolent temp sensor, reset the error codes and sent me on my way

Next day the light came back on. Used an OBD reader to get the code myself and got...

P0116 Generic Engine Coolant Temp CKT Range/Perf

Reset the error codes again, next day light came on again

OBD says

P0116 Generic Engine Coolant Temp CKT Range/Perf
P0327 Generic Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Input Bank 1 of 1 Sensor

Reset the error codes again, today day light came on again, OBD says same thing

P0116 Generic Engine Coolant Temp CKT Range/Perf
P0327 Generic Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Input Bank 1 of 1 Sensor

Checked cabling best I can and looks ok.

Based on the coolant sensor's been replaced and both codes come back at the same time does anyone have any idea what on earth is wrong with the car?

Car is an 2005 Ibiza Cupra 1.8T 180 20v

Check the earths and fuses then if you're personally unable to carry out a wiring check take it to the dealers.

Here's a story on this one. Removed the housing for thermostat, guess what, no thermostat in there!! Sort of suspect that might have been the problem.

New one fitted, no light as yet. Been like that for 3 days which is a record.

Lets hope the car doesn't have an overhearing problems in summer. Temp currently doesn't go above 105c which is fine
