Has anyone that's got a TX kit had problems with hoses blowing off? The standard pipe from the charge pipe to the joining peice ( which would have been to the original intercooler) kept popping off. I have since replaced the boost hoses with forge ones but am paranoid now that it's going to pop off again even tho I have done the clamps up as tight as possible. The car cutting out at motorway speeds is not the nicest of experiences lol.

Anyone had this issue.

my joiner had beaded ends. my car boosted to 2bar with no hoses popping off. i cleaned all the hoses first so they dont slip off.

My joiner was just a straight piece of pipe which was very shiny and had no rolled ends. I filed the pipe down slightly to make it rough for the hose to grip and cleaned it thoroughly. so far it's been ok with about 100 miles of different styles of driving , but I can't help but worry. I might buy a rolled end one just to be on the safe side.

My joiner wasn't in the kit originally so we cut the old lower boost pipe from the old SMIC's and made one to join it up near the charge pipe hosing... Not ideal!!

And yes it did blow off on the motorway with that bodge fitted... So rung the seller next day they sent the beaded joiner out 1st class and it was fitted and machine tightened on when the car was on OE map. No problems..

Since then had a stage 2 map put on pushing near 300bhp give or take roller's etc and still no problems, been good as gold.

Sorry to sound stupid but What do you mean by beaded? Do you mean with the rolled edges? If so I'm going to either ring the seller and get on or buy one off the bay.

Thats completely different to the one I got. Mine was just a normal pipe with no beading. I found one on EBay so I'm going to buy it and keep it just incase mine does pop off. So far it's ok but you never can quite tell.

Thanks for all your help :)

That's the one in Sam's pic. They sent it once I complained. No problems since.

Better safe than sorry bud.
