Good luck finding f1 assym's!!! Apparantly they are on back order at goodyear, and i';ve subsequently been told after trying to get some myself that they are being discontinued!!!

Are you sure you mean the assyms? I know that the GSD3's have been discontinued.

Ah the Asymms are amazing everything, quiet, comfy, excellent grip in wet and dry.

Useless in the snow though.

Mytyres have them in 235-40-18's and 225-40-18, well according to there web site anyway

Ordered a set yesterday and have arrived today for fitting, no issue getting mine in 225/45/17 91Y £101 fitted each.

I may be wrong but are you talking about the brilliant but slightly older GSD3 or is theres something faultly with the F1 Assy's meaning a recall?

yeah i was quoted £300 for a pair of assymetrics yesterday, they said they could have them ready for the next day.

i decided to spend £140 less and get some Falken 452s instead though...

half the price for 7/8ths of the tyre IMO

I'll add my ten pence worth. Had tha F1A's on the front of my FR+. Can't fault them. Supurb dry grip and the best wet weather tyre I've ever used. Got 7k out of them but would have easily got more had I been a little slower in the bends, plus the derv is on the heavy side. A mate has got 15k out of his on his Focus ST3.

As its been said before on the forum, not the place to cut corners, its what keeps you in contact with the road.

Following further enquiries with goodyear it seems the 225/40/18 F1 Assym's are on back order. The next manufacturing run is in March sometime.

I eventually got some ordered up on mytyres for £107 each, they should be coming Thursday. What a bl00dy nightmare trying to get hold of them!!!
