Tyre pressures

Hi, car just failed MOT on tyre wear. I've owned my ST for 8 years now. Always suffered with uneven tyre wear (outer edges). I've always followed tyre pressures inside fuel filler door (32f / 29r)
Is the wear being caused by under inflation? Would appreciate your thoughts. ??

i have a 59 plate ST with 225/40/18 tyres on and had the same issue when i had the alignment done the SEAT dealer there recommended to put 36psi in all 4 tyres that were 2 years ago and it did the trick they havent scrubbed the outer edge since

Always run 36psi front and 32psi rear on my saloons, 225/45/17, seems to handle much better and tyre wear is good.
