I have the 5 door FR 1.4 150psi manual on 18 inch rims. The recommended pressures are 26 rear and 26 front unless I have missed something...

I have the 140 tsi on the 18 sports performance tyres and was told pressures should be 30 front 28 rear

Hi all,

This is the tyre pressure chart on my fuel cap door, I have the top setting currently set "41 and 38 psi" Should I maybe set them to the "Comfort" setting?

My tyres used to say max PSI is 50, on the tyres...so didn't dare go so high haha...saying that my current car on 215/40/R17 also have two tyre settings though 38/35 and 33/30 Comfort Mode. It was actually 39/36 when I check with my pressure gauge. For me, the first pressures was too bumpy and harsh  , so I lowered to 36/34...much better.

Think I might take it down to the Comfort setting then, because it is quite firm thinking about it

My mistake - should be 28 front and 26 rear. Says that on the sticker in the fuel filler and was confirmed by SEAT customer care when I queried it. No idea why the 1.4 TSi should be a couple of psi different

Seat told me the fuel gauge relates to the 17". Just goes to show even the so called experts make it up as they go along :D

They told me that the sticker is changed if different wheels are in the spec! Took them a week to answer as well, so I assumed they had actually checked!

wow surprised at the recommended pressures!

There really needs to be a definitive thread on tyre pressures with stated engine and wheel size and with a picture of the fuel cap sticker.
Also one on how to do the window reset for when the folding mirrors stop working.
Oh and one for Ashworth to say just how shocked and appalled he was when seat discontinued the 1.8tsi when he was so keen to get a new one and couldn't have the 1.4 as it has no multi link but the golf does etc. :p

Seat Customer services finally got back to me with the answer (tyre pressures for a Leon FR with optional 18 inch factory-fitted wheels):

• Half load front 32 psi
• Half load rear 29 psi

• Full load front 35 psi
• Full load rear 38 psi

The half load pressures in the filler cap label are 29 front and 26 rear...

Interesting, sounds much more understandable with those pressures but why does it say completely different on my filler cap label? maybe they've put the wrong one..?
