Sunny Slough
Had a slow puncture on the offside front on Saturday morning, so thought it best to check both fronts thoroughly. Oh bloody hell springs to mind. Checked the inner face of the tyres and they were down to the belt but only on the very inside edge!

So rang round and used faithful chaps in Slough and got 2 x Goodyears for £200 notes.
1. The ride quality is now quieter and more comfortable. A whole lot less harsh through the steering wheel and the grip is as good if not better.

2. Now here is the gripe. I had to go to a different tyre specialist to get the tracking done.
Reason, they did not have the correct settings for my car as it is such a new model. Now the worrying part, I asked the chap why the tyres had worn in such a way (I had my ideas) He commented that it was because the tracking and geometry requirements were out by a mile.
Now here is the rub, the place that I got the tyres from is part of the same group where my local "Dealer" took the car after I took it back because it was pulling left all the time and the steering wheel was out. I was assured that it had been done. Now where it went was the same place that I got my tyres and they said they could not do it.

3. Did the dealer take it? Did they also botch it and or not use the right settings. Basically a guesstimate on the toe in and geometry settings.

I reckon so! [:@][:@]:censored: Well its sorted now but as to the dealership. Yeeha John Wayne springs to mind.:ban:

It will be on there system. It's under a Ibiza cupra. If they look for boc it wont be there. If not go feltham tyres on farham road. They said they couldn't find my car but it's under cupra. It's like 3 years old now most/all places have it.

They did look under Mk5 Seat Ibiza Cupra and all other mixes of that, no joy.

Already booked with Feltham tyres for next Saturday morning. They used to do the ST2 and have done the RS recently.

Cheers for the heads up mate, wont see it much longer new car ordered. 5 mnths to go.
