Hi Guys, its tyre time and I was wondering what you chaps are running in this delightful weather? I've got a FR Tdi 06 plate with 17 inch cupra alloys with p-zero's on (205/40/17 IIRC?). Anyone else running different rubber with good results?

215/40/16's running either Toyo T1-R's or Triple 8's personally.

I know mine is an LC but I've just stuck F1 Asym's on the front and after 500 miles they grip beyond how fast I like to drive. The grip is in a different league to anything else I've had on any car. Apart from pulling away in the wet/damp there seems to be no drop off in grip.

Currently running Toyo PX4's which are ok, but not fantastic. Lasting for bloody ages though which is a plus point I suppose.

Can anyone say anything good about the P Zero's?

no-one admits to them being crap...it's mainly because there are other cheaper tyres that perform better  Pirelli P-Zero's have always been known to have a high mid-range price tag

Im going to throw a different card in the mix, Vredestein Sportrac 3's, excellent in the wet and good in the dry too, difficult to get hold of though.

must be better than the dunlop sp sports that come on lower powered ibizas!

The dunlops are a liability and should come with a warning notice. Slight speed in the wet means understeer.
:ban:

I hate them:censored:

lol got a flat in one of my eagle f1 gsd3 so had to stick the spare on the front nearside of the car and it bloody nearly ended with me writing off the car, corners that are no problem what so ever for the eagle f1's becomes a risk with the dunlop fitted. Needless to say when ever its wet I drive extremely slow, and I have grown out of the boy racer driving aswell so when I say slow I mean granny slow, not what a boy racer calls slow:lol:

Just had some goodyear eagle f1s fitted. Not had the for long, but they are a lot quieter than the previous tyres, barum somthing or other, and the grip seems good. Look nice too. Dont know how long theyll last though... what do you guys get from them?

Just replaced the last Mitchelin for a Goodyear Eagle F1 to complete the set, im really impressed by grip level an lack of road noise. With risk of sounding really geeky the MPG has gone down a little due to higher rolling resistance of the tyre i think but for the grip given i cant complain.
