Need 4 new tyres for a cupra tdi leon. Dont fancy apying 140 per corner for pirelli rosso. Any recommendations for something cheaper but still decent?
Thanks
Glynn

Falken FK452s seem to be getting good feedback, reasonable price aswell.

Robdon and Unclefester are both pleased with them.

There is a post in the Mk1 Leon section about them if you want more info!

Just bought 4 uniroyal rainsport £57 plus vat each or £295.85 fitted. Not bad eh?:funk:

Could give Kumho Ku31's a go, I had a set on my Passat V5 and they were excellent.

Toyo proxies T1-R's are good

I'll second that statement.
I bought 4 of them over 14,000 miles ago and booked my car in for 2 front tyres today. Tread remaining is just below 6mm on both rears and bang on 3mm on both fronts. Definatly sticking with these from now on as grip is excellent.

i have heard rumours the toyo proxies T1-R's are the best tyre on the market at the moment what do you guys think as i need 4 new tyres and want to go for something with maximum grip as i pick my car up tomorrow with the big turbo on it hehehe!!!! how much do the toyo's cost???

I would agree that the grip is exceptional with these tyres.
I'm getting 2 fitted, balanced and filled with nitrogen for £159 all in.

I got 3 x Barum FR's from Tyre-Shopper for £61 per corner fitted - really excellent grip & recommended by Auto Express as best mid range tyres :)

Extremely happy with my Falken 452's, no traction control lights when in wet. Not sure how long they will last though.

Got mine for £250 from Wheelbase.

I got a set of zero neros for my beeza 2 tyres for 150 fiteed 205/40/17

www.mytyres.co.uk are cheap as chips but you need to find a tyre garage that will fit tyres that you're brining in as most places say yeah 20 quid a corner (jokers).

Quick look on mytyres (assuming you're running 225/45/18) zero neros 109 each or the FK452 falkens 97 a corner.

still surprisingly pricey..... I was considering putting the leon fr wheels on my ibiza but thats just changed my mind...
