I am considering whether it is possible for me to replace my two front tyres (one of which is punctured beyond repair!) with something to make the crashiness on the ride better. Would 215/40/17 work? Don't want to change the rears yet as they have plenty of tread. Help!
All standard at moment on 205/40/17 on original 17 inch wheels. Thought that 215/40/17 may improve the ride slightly but wouldn't want to change all 4 tyres at same time.
Thanks all for help. So the message is that 215/40/17 will work on a standard 17" fr rim, won't look obvious, and won't cause any rubbing or other issues on a non lowered fr.
i been running 215/40 17's for the last 3 years and you don't curb the rims as easily and the ride is slightly less crashy, they also look better (less like rubber bands on the FR rims)
