If someone has a VZN or a 2022-24 310 BHP Formentor can they take a photo of the splash guard under the engine as my Formentor was recently dealer serviced and the splash guard doesn`t look right, its very small and doesn`t seem to protect much underneath and it won`t be the first time I have had a different part fitted by a dealer in fact they fitted different viscosity oil and didn`t clear the oil service warning!
I have searched online Cupra Formentor parts but I cannot find a splash guard the same as it is under my car they all seem, to be bigger.

A photo can easily be taken from just under the front bumper no need to get underneath!

So if someone can help I would be much obliged!

Vehicles with the 2.0TSI EA888 engine installed tend to only have a small undertray fitted from the factory. I surmise it allows for greater airflow and cooling when compared to the full length version.

Awesome, just what I wanted that`s what I have but I was expecting there to be a full cover and everywhere I looked that`s what it showed for the Formentor and I have an immense distrust of dealers as over the years they have proved they are capable of anything in my experience, I have had the wrong engine oil put in, the wrong oil filter, not enough oil, too much oil, once got my RX-8 home after a service and went too check the oil which proved to be difficult as no dip stick, same car another Mazda dealer replaced the alloy wheels under warranty as they were corroding, but whoever fitted the tyres had not only managed to take the paint off the edge of the rims but the metal as well leaving a sharp edge they had damaged the bead on one tyre and had glued it to the rim with rubber solution to stop it leaking so another new set was ordered, a new set arrived and were fitted with no damage this time, I got the car home but noticed a mark in the paint on one wheel so made a closer look and I could smell paint, they had resprayed the front of my old corroded alloys and given them back to me, the Service Manager when confronted claimed these Mazda warranty replacements which it turned out were my repainted alloys but only on the front had come from Mazda like that, I complained to Mazda but they defended their dealer by saying "the dealer has said they received the alloys from Mazda UK like that!"
Hence why I don`t trust any dealer anymore!

Anyway I appreciate the help and I can see the logic of the cover being smaller to possibly aid cooling etc as James_R has said but I wasn`t expecting it to be like that as my RX-8 has a full under cover, my daughters Mini Cooper has a full cover, as has my brothers Audi A3 I thought all modern cars were like that obviously not!

There's nothing stopping you fitting a full length version if you want to. The threads are already in the subframe and the only additional parts you'll need are the three rear mounting screws.

In all this, I guess changing oil is an easy job.
There is no need to go through the pain of removing guard and putting back to access oil drain nut.
I'll think 🤔 if I keep this car and idea of changing oil every 5k to 6k.
My local recycling centre accepts oil as well.

Apart from going into the dealers to retain the warranty with block exemption you don`t really have to do this now and can use an independent but I am not prepared to test it but I have been changing oil for years using the dip stick route and pump and always found it OK.
