how can i tell if/what map my car has got? will vagcom be able to tell me anything?

vag-com wont tell you anything, have you got a boost gauge? not sure how to tell what map its got

in the process of fitting one for that purpose, im 99% sure it is mapped as i destroyed my mates mk3 vr6, but im getting a new custom map done early next yr and im worried about lock outs.

i did try that but he was under the impression that the car was totally standard.....

yeah, you could ring a few companies up and give them your reg number as they may have it sorted on the system still?? if they mapped it
