Hey all,

My phone is paired to my car and as a result, my phonebook has uploaded into the car, viewable in the MFD but, I have changed some numbers and deleted a whole load so I want to unpair, and then re-pair my phone.

Can someone please tell me how to do this since the instruction book was completely useless!

Thanks!

M

But that will not delete the phonebook saved on the MFD. Furthermore, how do I re-pair because when I first did it with the dealer, I remember he held something down on one of the stalks

You need to acess the menu on the MFD to clear your settings for the phone...you can clear all kinds of settings in here, so be careful what you press - I don't have off hand which actual buttons/stalks to press, but I have done this myself, just can't remember how - but check out your actual CAR MANUAL, it should tell you in there...

I think Tam is right, i had a look on my break and thinking about it my missus uses the car and her phone pairs up when she is in it so it must get the info each time it pairs.....

Also if you try and go into the phone book straight away there is a slight delay while it loads which confirms it i think....

I changed some numbers on my phone, but all I did was unpair using my phone, then re-paired and the changes showed in the display.

3 different phones get used in my car, the MFD definatley re-sync's each time.

Also for pairing, no need to put the car in any specific mode, just search for SEAT UHV or something like that on the phone to discover the car.

Yep, quite correct.

Many thanks for clearing that up, although it still doesnt clear up why, when certain people call me, only their number comes up, not their name, despite the fact that they are stored in the memory.

Yep, I get that sometimes, also occasionaly a combination of 2 previous calls, ie. "HomeMobile" or something odd.

This seems to vary depedning on the phone in use??

Do you have a copy of the contact on your sim and phone memory? I dont have the bluetooth option in the Leon but in another car, if I had a copy on the sim and the phone memory, it didnt know which one to display and so just showed the number.

All my numbers are saved on the phone memory, but:

1. In the MFD it shows all of my contacts which I can dial.
2. When a person who is on that list calls me, their number always shows, but their name doesnt always appear as well.
