today's the day!! in about 2 hrs I get my brand new Leon FR 1.8 tsi 16bhp 2012 from the dealer! cant wait!!!!!!!!!! I'll post pics as soon as I get it!

I drove a 1.4TSi FR the other month, it was an excellent car - was OK for town & motorway speeds, but you did notice the lack of oomph when you wanted either torque (or power)

Very nice. I think I like those LEDs too but don't think I could stretch to the cost of an upgrade. I've only seen one or two sets of the new LED rear lights on the road here so far.

So has anyone upgraded their rear tail lights with the new LED one's ? Not sure if possible but I like them and if possible I'll go for them if its a straight swap. Any source to get these apart from the dealers ? and cost ?

I dont think anybody on here has done it. They cost about £300 afaik. I think they can be retro-fitted to the FL leons with some coding done on vagcom. Im sure I read that on here

My first car was a 1.3 fiesta and then a 1.4 astra

so I think I have served my time with shitty slow cars lol.

i wasn't being rude and implying that people were tight for buying an FR over an FR+, it's just that in my opinion it shouldnt have an FR badge on it

I haven't knocked the older 140bhp leon because that DOESN'T have the FR badge on it!

Just found out that my FR+ TDI will be delivered on Monday, looking forward to it.

Currently in a rental 1.6 ecomotive thing, so it will be nice to have a bit of oomph again (previously had a '07 FR TDI).

i had a call today from the dealer saying my car fr+ dsg was being shipped this week, he reckons it will be here by the end of next week, cant wait, its been a long 5 months

just had a call from the stealer, the car is now in uk so its how long it takes to get here to lincolnshire from sheerness in kent, with a bit of luck i should have it by end of next week, cant wait

I've been waiting for my FR+ TDI DSG FOR 23 weeks now mate, apparently shipped last monday and taking forever now......

It's a company lease car so unfortunately I don't know the exact order date or build week. I submitted the spec at the end of June, but I have the feeling the guy who orders the company cars was in no hurry so the acutal order could have been some time after that.

Mine isn't DSG, which may make a difference.

It's funny how even though everyone is supposed to be broke the lead times on new cars are so long

mine was week build 47 which was nov 21st, i ordered mid july and take off august coz the factory was closed that makes it about 18 weeks by the time i should get it with dsg box which i was told adds about 3 weeks to the build
