Just checking last 2 updates seem to have sorted the gremlins such as multiple errors on rear sensors etc everyone else agree ?

My car was one of the first in the country reg dec 2020 I bought it used (not Ex demo or new )
Seems to have all the equipment it should except a movable boot floor

Assume that must be the older infotainment hardware then ?

How often do you normally get updates?

Wasn’t aware there were different versions of infotainment only had the car a couple of weeks had loads of problems becoming primary user, rear alert and parking sensor errors but 2 updates in quick succession 2 days ago has resulted in everything working well
Primary user problem sorted by seat / cupra back room guys

Sounds good! Yeah there's a "newer" hardware and software version that they use on cars built in 2021 I believe. Mine is a Dec 2020 too so is probably the same as yours.

You can check by going to Settings > System Information.

Out of interest what were the exact issues you were seeing that are now fixed with the latest updates? Reason I'm asking is I'm not sure if my car is updating correctly so I'm trying to work out how many updates others get, what issues get fixed etc so I can tell if mine is getting fixes too!

as mentioned by maypack in another thread
“Rear Traffic Alert is currently unavailable

Manoeuvre Braking currently unavailable

The faults do not clear on stopping and restarting the car but if left for a period of an hour or so they do reset. “
plus more rear sensor errors that I can’t remember exactly

I also had reverse camera not come on and a blank infotainment screen

I will check what software number mines on
Later

Thank! I've not seen any of those errors (touch wood!) so hopefully the updates on mine are working!

How did you get issues sorted by the seat back room folk? Through a dealer or is there an email address you can contact?

I’ve got a 2020 car (VZ Edition) and the only issue out of these that I’ve had regularly is the reverse camera not always coming on. Once I worked out how to use the hands free etc the rest has (touch wood) worked.
Hate using the camera anyway, the quality isn’t great (makes everything slightly distorted), and would rather use the sensors so am not overly bothered by that.
If it’s still a problem come oil change time I’ll get them to take a look at it.

The car is brimming with kit. It’s just got a little too much for the system that’s running it.

Mine said there was another update today.....still waiting for it to finish!

Mine has gotten worse today, whole system turned itself off when I was reversing, not very good at all.
Good car being let down by over complication / poor quality.

My VZ2 delivered on Thursday (build week 6/2021) already had software 1790 on so think you're still due another update (same hardware version as yours). Also, mines trying to download at least one other update but failed today. I have had no issues with the infotainment system - I drove 350 miles today using pretty much everything I could. Will try the update again when I'm next driving ?

Just for comparison my update completed last night after taking a while, when I was driving it as suspended but once I parked up it completed. Have not been out today so will see what has improved tomorrow

Any way to force an update? Mine is on 1666 so sounds like it’s not the latest.
Every time I hit update software it whirls away and does nothing whilst searching.

I spoke to the dealer about the camera issue (only coming on intermittently) and he said he hat to hit and hold the power button.
This does indeed make the camera come on, but you lose the rest of the infotainment in doing so. If that’s the Cupra / Seat solution then there literally is no hope!!!!

Just a thought it’s my understanding the esim works on Vodafone which has poor coverage where I live I wonder if it’s not a full 4g signal the updates struggle my update notifications always pop up when I’m driving through the next village from me may be a signal thing

You can connect the car to your phone or home WiFi. Not sure if it updates over it, but worth a try. Internet radio definitely works over my home WiFi.

Yes I tried that didn’t seem to make any difference update bar sticks at 75% and next thing is says update is finished usually after driving down the road which made me wonder about the 4g thing

My updates were discovered while driving and using wifi from phone and tried to update via phone and home wifi. I switched off e-sim.
