Upgrades???

hey, Ive got the tuning bug i believe, so here goes, what do you think of these, for my 2006 1.4 16v dab edition.
Pipercross Induction kit - PK325 =£87 (Any suggestions on others, and do you know is you get the 90 degree silicone elbow with the kit?)
Pipercross Breather Filter - dont know which size yet?(for the pipe that goes into the standard large (airbox/engine cover)
Peko stainless oval backbox =£128
And some Red caliper paint, to spruce the anchors up?
Any suggestions and or critisism would be welcome?

i had a peco on my 1.6 astra sxi and it didnt give it any more power and wasnt really that noisy either... id go for a custom job or the likes of scorpion (did give the astra more oomph) or magnex

if you're gonna go for a custom backbox get a powerflow one, might be expensive at around £200 for the back box but my god they're worth it, my mate just got one fitted to a focus and its made so much difference, im gonna get my DAB done in summer by them

i have a Fr exhaust on mine does make a difference performance wise and sound!!!!!

Hmmm. Magnex and Scorpion dont do a backbox for My 1.4 DAB. I went on the Magnex site and they only done ones for the likes of 1.6 and above?
Because I would have prefered a Magnex?
Those of you who have a peco box is it a direct fit, no hassle?

pecos generally fit with no hassle but are pants really, ur better making a vroom noise with your mouth it will sound better lol

any backbox on a 1.4 16v will just sound 1tone loud! go for a cupra/fr rear box will look better and sound sportier! a viper or induction kit will give the engine a nice growl and then just lower it to the floor!!!!!

Pecos from experience are proper pants. They just sound like wet farts.

I had a cat back Powerflow system on my 1.2 Corsa, and it sounded a lot better than most other cars with other back boxes on. More throatier, rather than the single tone farty noises my mates Peco on his 1.4 Astra made.

At the end of the day, its down to personal preference, but thats just my 2p worth

Well I dunno what to get, I checked REMUS and MAGNEX, both websites dont have listing for 1.4 16v? And I dunno if a Cupra/Fr box would fit? And from where?
The Seat site, only has the sport Bbox for like 300 Squid?

ive sold my backbox now but there will be loads for sale! you should pic up a backbox for a cupra/fr second hand for about £50 and yes it will fit your car

Wow, I did not think a Cupra back box would fit, i thought the pipe would be bigger in diameter? Where can I get one from, ive tried searching on google etc but nothing????????

you will need a reducer pipe but it would cost under a £10er and to find 1 put a post up in the wanted section or have a look throu the for sale section on the home page

Wow very nice wish I had a Cupra. But I suppose a brand new DAB is good for a 1st car.
Btw love the front spilter, where did u get that from? Is it hard to fit?
what do u recommend I do to mine?

get some pictures up of your motor and get some peoples opinion the splitter is a leon cupra r front spoiler it only costs about £18 do a search and you will find absoloutly tons of info on it as its been covered so many times.
