Upgrading Injectors?

Rite ive had a search about on the forum but have had no luck.

I was looking to no if its possible to change the injectors in a 1.6S to different ones out of another VAG engine, the like of the 1800 ? Wot benefits would I see in power wise etc ?

Any help is appreciated.

there's no point at all in doing it unless you're revving it higher

no point really unless the engine can really make use of them - more aggressive cams, ported and polished head, better exhaust headers and pipes, and an ECU remap, not to mention you may need a better fuel pump and definitely a new pressure regulator.

Plus only an injector change would mess up the fuel delivery and the car would likely run too rich.

Sorry mate, only a remap or engine work would really help on a 1.6S. Even then the return on your money would not be very good - you'd be better off trading for a 1.8T.

I had plans next year to fit new cams, supersprint manifold, cat-back exhaust, maybe a sports cat and do some headwork. The car has already been chipped, and could probably get the chip mapped to suit the changes.

At the minute im not 100% sure, having a few problems getting the right bhp figure out on the rolling road, so needa get it hooked up to vag.com to see if any faults are thrown up. Needa get a new air feed for the BMC CDA aswell as the intake supplied is letting air out and the original air feed at the front of the car is too small so getting it relocated to the front grill.

Ill keep yas updated tho.
