I haven't got it yet but ive been looking at uprating the standard braking system, was wondering if anyone has done this and what options there are? Any help is appreciated

If it is the FSIII brakes ( cast in to the outside of the caliper ) you would need to swap hubs to get bigger brakes on.
Or you upgrade to better discs and pads with the standard calipers.
If you have the brakes with removable carriers - you could move up to the 312mm brakes from an S3, TT or Golf
OR if you are feeling flush - you could go for the 312mm 4 pot seatsport brakes.

The larger brakes come on the 1.4 tsi and 2.0 tdi frs, with the fs lll on the 1.2 tsi. I had the same car as youself mapped to 130 bhp and always found the brakes more than adequate, even when pushing on a bit on country roads.

That was my plan, stage 1 remap, I test drove the car, maybe I just imagined it but it didn't feel that great, if its feasible and not a great expense id uprate them.
