so when someone runs one of these engines and wants to run big power, lets say 400bhp+ maybe even 500....

what options does he have with regards to clutch slave cylinders? because you can spend £1600 on a dual plate clutch from Helix/AKS Tuning....

but i cannot see anywhere an uprated clutch slave cylinder? surely someone has developed one than can handle 500bhp?

they look only to be about £35-50 quid, but i don't fancy changing it only for it to go again in less than 12 months....

but as they say "big power/torque breaks things", and "if you ain't breaking things then your doing something wrong".....i am sure i have read those 2 quotes somewhere over the years on car forums/hardcore petrol-head mottos etc

The drive torque doesn't pass through the slave cylinder so engine torque / power is not relevant to whether or not it's up to the task.

okay fair enough, but what causes them to fail at 10,000 miles use then, the whole lot was brand new when it was apart
