***Got window pane now but the regulator has fallen off and I think the attachment clip to the window may be broken please see below***

hey guys

big help needed! returned to my car tonight got in, just her about to start her up when thought, hey don't remember leaving the rear left (nearside) window open! looked around and it had been smashed :(

I urgently need to fix this as have nowhere safe to park it. I am a student it was parked on roadside parking. I only have TPFT insurance so can't claim. I also have very little money!

I will try to repair the window myself. The car is a Toledo 01 1.9 TDI SE (110).my questions are as follows-

1. how much does it cost to buy a new window from SEAT?
2. Is the window pane the same as the electronic window for the Leon Mk1 SE spec?
3. what problems have people encountered when doing this job themselves/any tips?

Intend to try and source scrap yards first but not sure how successful I will be at this and how they will charge!

**will try this guide - does anyone know any other guides at all? **

thanks for the reply. will try golf mk4 though didn't think it would share window panes as well?!
just know that swapping the pane over will be a real pain! fixed the leaky door seals already and that was annoying gonna have to do it again for this door. happy days!

bad news

fitters come and tried to fit window, windscreen went fine though. regulator has fallen off with cabling though still can be heard working...bit of plastic at the bottom that looks like the attachment clip to the window/ regulator clip...

does anyone know if these clips (now superseded with metal ones) can be bought separately??
