I've heard people say "no need for main beam anymore" a few times now. I take it you don't mean it literally?

My main beam is deffo brighter than my HIDs...!

really?

On the Ibiza I could always see more with dipped HID's than Full beam

Do you have your bulbs adjusted right?

what kit did you buyin the end mate???

I've seen these at a very good price BUT there a bit to cheap I thought, anyone bought these???

Would recommend that ebay seller.

Its the same person I bought mine from last week all fitted now and they are quality. Bought them tuesday night they were here for the following monday (6days) from china.

I only paid £39 as I paid for them in Aussie dollars, worked out £7 cheaper.

I have also just ordered a bi-xenon H4 kit for someone at work aswell as they were impressed with mine.

Maybe because they are direct from the sellers in China where the kits are made, instead of being imported by people in the uk who then need to pay import tax and also make a profit on them.

Quality on the kit I bought is spot on, can't fault it.

Seriously no need for main beam, your main beam isn't brighter than the HID's, they just shine in an area normally unlit by dipped beam, however i find the extra visability that the HID's give me, means i don't need the main beam as they only allow me to see higher up (above the cut off point of the HID's), and don't improve my road/other car visability much at all. (I did have a full headlight alignment when i fitted the HID's.)

Went for an 'ultra kit' from HID's Direct (website or ebay) cost me £95 delivered, i was a bit wary of the cheaper sets, and thought it's best not to skimp on lights.

where have u guys mounted the metal box thing in the kit?

I removed my headlights and put them on the metal work (chassis leg?) under the headlights, i did this mainly because i was also replacing one of my headlight units as it was cracked, so it had to be removed anyway.

how hard is the kit to fit?

is there much cutting of wires? do u have to cut a hole in the plastic back plate of the head light??

ive gone dor the 8000k ones

i will be fitting them 2morrow...did any of you need to take the head lights out or anything?

no wire cutting at all, can be run staight from the original wiring or via a relay kit,

and yeh a hole needs to be made in the back cover, but it the kit comes with a grommet that seals it nicely.

The higher the kelvin rating the more blue/purple they get. But generally they lose the brightness the higher you go. I personally think the 6000k is the best choice.
