Vacuum hose sizes for boost gauge

Howdy all, after many Google searches I'm yet to come up with a definitive answer as to what size vacuum hose is best or needed for running a boost gauge?

I'm about to for one to my MK1 LC and wanted to replace to supplied clear hose that came with the kit, to black hose.

Can anyone advise on what they have fitted please?

Also I'm pretty sure it's 5mm vac line that's used....... double check though lol

4/5 mm will do the job.
Just make sure it can handle the heat/cold. I used some Samsung piping from work and has great temp rating
