Vag com Error

Hey guys

just fault checked my car and its got 1 prob so not too bad but wondering if anybody else has seen a fault like this on there car?? mine is a mk4 fr 1.8 20vt

VAG-COM Version: Release 409.1-S


Chassis Type: 6L - Seat Ibiza
Scan: 01,02,03,08,09,15,17,19,37,44,46,56,69


1 Fault Found:
17608 - Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249): Mechanical Malfunction
P1200 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 0000 0000





any help would be much appreciated

have you bypassed / removed the N249 valve? (this i believe is the valve that 'helps' the DV and is commonly bypassed on modded cars. If done incorrectly it can log faults.

are all pipes ok?

All pipes are ok as far as I'm aware and I haven't done the bypass should I clear it and see if it comes straight back??

It's the first time ive used vag com

Also does anybody no how to log using lemmiwinks I can't see a option to do so?

What was it? Has it only appeared after your Stage 2 remap?

I think it's just a faulty N249 that sometimes doesn't work, nothing wrong with the car otherwise, pulls like a mutha & shifts an awful lot of air!

So... N249 bypass, and it'll go away

No problem about the rather quick lesson though!

N249 bypass is easy peasy... don't need it with forge dv anyway.
10min job.
