vag com fault code

Hi all,

I have just scanned my car for faults codes and this one came up.

1 Fault Found:
16955 - Brake Switch (F): Implausible Signal
P0571 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent


Just wondering if anyone knows what this is? how dangerous is it to run the car like this as i'm guessing its to do with the brakes?

It may just be a loose connection. The actual brake mechanism is mechanical, a fault code won't stop the brakes from working.

I tend to ignore intermittent faults, just clear it and see if it comes back. You probably won't see it again.

Great thanks for the link, i'll go and clear the fault code now, if it comes back then i'll be following the guide.
