VAG OIL Spec for V5

Hi,All.
Got my Toledo V5 a few weeks ago,and want to change the oil.Although i got loads of paperwork with the car,i didn't get the owners manual.Can anyone tell me the Vag spec for the oil, or, recommend a good oil to use.What do you guys use in yours.I don't want to knacker my engine, by using the wrong oil.Any advice much appreciated.Cheers.Great Forum btw.

I believe Quantum Synta Gold was the recommended oil. Available from most VAG dealers and I believe a few online companies (but you won't find it in Halfords). That said I know my Seat dealer doesn't stock it. I guess just make sure you use a good quality synthetic oil 5w/40. Can't remember the VW codes (502 or 505?) - don't have the manual to hand at present.

Thanks for that GrayT.Iv'e seen Synta Gold mentioned on the forum, and i think GSF might sell it.Yes it's a great car(2002, 170).I think they must be one of Seats best kept secrets.
