the temperature at which the fluid in your radiator freezes depends on the antifreeze
 
dont really get whats hoing on here!!

james just with the cold snap that we are all having and the temps going down to between -10 and -20 i was woundering what the temp would need to be before the water in the radiator bottle would freeze just out of interest:D
 
VW G12+ Coolant additive (the pink stuff) is rated as per the following mixture ratios (G12 is the 1st no, water is the 2nd):
2:3 rated to -24 deg C
1:1 rated to -36 "
3:2 rated to -52 "
 
If you read your post you asked what temperature water freezes at.....not anti-freeze. Thats why zero was mentioned :p

Like mentioned above it depends on the ratio of water to anti-freeze

It depends how much antfreeze you have and how much its diluted by.
 
thought you werent ment to put antifreeze into vag cars because they have an alloy head or am i just reading something somewhere wrong[B)]
 
i new about the g12+ it was just about the antifreeze a will need to check my owners log book:D
