I got mine today but the disc was smashed so i downloaded Vag.com lite but when i selected the right com port then selected test it said interface not found but i was woundering if it needs plugging in before i click test?

looks the same lead as what i got yesterday but got mine from was from a diffrent seller and mine does not work either so ordered a different cable from another seller

You need drivers from the supplier. The VCDS-Lite download on our site does not contain drivers because we cannot know the details of the hardware the vendor uses. For this reason, you need to get the drivers from your supplier.

Yes, the cable does usually need to be plugged into the car with the ignition on - engine off in order for the wire to be recognized.

Hi can you tell me will the lead be ok for a LCR225 54 plate on a 1M vin also does the free program allow you to calibrate steering sensor

The 1M LCR225 would work with the VCDS-Lite product. Calibrating steering angle sensors requires the licensed version of VCDS-Lite. The shareware version will not permit you to do Basic Settings, Adaptations and Coding.
